ABOUT US

YARDO CIC is a personal development and community wellbeing organisation, started by long-time collaborators, Paula Watson and Helen Firminger

Our six-month pilot programme, the Mental Wealth Programme*  was funded by Green & Co Charity to offer online and venue-based programmes to enhance personal wellbeing and  community  development during Covid-19.

Our new Mental Wealth Programme for Autumn / Winter 2021 has been funded by the Acton Gardens Community Chest.

"Yardo is inspired by my experiences of community-centred culture in the early 1990’s Brixton; together we made fantastic things happen, addressing local problems creatively and collectively. I have noticed, when working collectively in places of possibility that life feels very worth living - even if you have been positioned on the bottom rung".
